The Pan America 1250 is Harley-Davidson's first attempt in the segment of large touring enduros - and it is quite a success! Apart from a few, actually negligible flaws, the Pan America 1250 Special is an all-round good adventure bike. On paved roads, it shows its thoroughly sporty character and ranks pretty well in the league of the usual suspects in this class. With innovative features like the Adaptive Ride Height System, the Americans could even manage to acquire a larger number of new customers for whom the usual suspects are all too high.

The powerful 160 hp engine is not only extremely powerful, it is also very easy to operate and makes you want to ride sportily. The many electronic assistance systems such as traction control, semi-active chassis, various modes and cornering ABS also contribute to making you feel right at home on the 1290 Super Adventure S. Finally, the huge TFT display and other gadgets such as the Race-on system or My Ride are also quite convincing.
