In on-road tests, it impresses with its performance and luxurious features. Off the beaten track, it was able to impress both professionals and amateurs with its versatility despite its dimensions. It covers a width range of use and is equipped with the highest quality features. An exceptional bike! You just have to be able to afford it.

As someone who likes all-round sports bikes, I was impressed by the Multistrada Pikes Peak when I rode it a year ago on the Modena race track, but with the RS, Ducati has pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with a crossover machine. A 192 Horsepower V4 in a suspension system that shares many of the qualities of the excellent Streetfighter and Panigale, combined with the versatility of the Multistrada, makes for an exhilarating mix. Especially when you consider that, at least for me, it’s the best-looking Multistrada in the range. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s also exotic. How often, I wonder, have Panigale owners found themselves longing for a bit more comfort, range or practicality? Well, apart from a few insignificant tenths of a second in lap times on the race track, this is the bike. It’ll shake up Europe just as easily as it’ll hold its own in the fast track day group. Who needs that? I do, and I suspect many others do too. I think it’s brilliant that Ducati was brave and bold enough to develop something that’s both so practical and so mad.
