Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW S 1000 RR 2023

BMW S 1000 RR 2023

For me, the most noticeable of all the innovations were the electronics and the steering geometry. Thanks to the additional information of the new steering angle sensor and the revised riding aids, the new S1000RR now has an electronic package with which you can not only ride safely, but also quickly, which will especially please the faster faction. But with a few additional features such as Slide Control, the average rider also has the opportunity to try out the riding style of the pros without risk, in order to cut a good figure in riding photos. And apart from that, it's also fun. The new steering geometry brings a little more calmness to the front and improves feedback, which is an invaluable advantage, especially at the limits. So the next round in the hunt for the best superbike is reopened.

BMW R 1250 RS 2023

For me, the BMW R 1250 RS epitomises the classic sports tourer to perfection. The seating position, the engine tuning, the suspension and the electronics - everything has been done just right. For me, the best sport touring motorcycle on the market comes from BMW.

High stability in long turns

agile, revvy boxer engine

good looks

comfortable riding position

extensive accessories list

great ESA suspension

great balance between sport and touring

good feel for the front

wide handlebars for precise control

compact but practical windscreen adjustment

good mirror position

Low position of the sat nav requires looking away from the road

Combined Braking System with ABS requires familiarisation

Cardan drive requires somewhat rougher gear changes
