Pros and Cons in comparison

Yamaha MT-07 2018

Yamaha MT-07 2018

The MT-07 is an incredible fun machine that is extremely sporty to ride. The brakes pack a punch, the handling is superb and the engine is currently by far the most agile power unit in this class - and even above. The light handling fits in perfectly and the aggressive design with its many corners and edges is also appealing. Only the chassis makes the typically good compromise between comfort and sport and should probably remind you that the affordable MT-07 also has a lot to offer beginners.

Extremely agile engine

very light handling

low weight

aggressively angular look

powerful brakes

comfortable seating position

throaty sound

Chassis a little soft

footrests drag quickly

some cheap plastic parts

boring telescopic fork

instruments could be easier to read.

GASGAS ES 700 2023

The bottom line is that the ES 700 is mainly thrilling when the attack is on and the tap is cocked over whatever surface. The resistant chassis with plenty of reserves, combined with the rev-happy engine and low weight, is really fun in rally mode. Loosely swung through the terrain, however, it lacks residual comfort and also feedback. Thanks to the stable chassis, however, it can also handle motorway stages at 140 km/h or accelerate at an angle. The bottom line is that the Gas Gas ES 700 is extremely versatile, with some sacrifices in comfort. For those interested in the ES 700, the question is clear: are you tough enough or not?

low total weight

well controllable power delivery

very low vibration for a 1-cylinder

good choice for difficult terrain

stable even on asphalt and at high speeds

plenty of freedom of movement in the saddle enables active riding

Comprehensive electronics package for an enduro

very puristic instrumentation

Chassis seems a bit wooden, does not give the best feedback from the tyres

Active ergonomics demand the rider's fitness on long passages
