Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S 2023

Moto Guzzi does not want to push the V100 Mandello S into the sports tourer segment and speaks of a roadster suitable for touring - and in fact it is more of a naked bike in terms of its pleasant seating position and agile handling, which conveys a surprising amount of touring character with its electrically adjustable windshield! The unique flaps are probably only noticeable at very low temperatures, but the engine perfectly matches the sovereign appearance and the brakes are brilliantly tuned. Finally, the S version pampers with a standard quickshifter including blipper, heated grips, MIA communication system, tyre pressure control and the electronically adjustable Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension. Asking for just under 20,000 euros for this may therefore only seem hefty at first glance.

Good things take time, they say. Triumph has kept to this and with the Tiger 900 GT Pro has put a motorbike on the cast rims that continues the long, successful path of the 800 with many detail improvements and is just as much a practical everyday motorbike as it is for extended tours and trips. The Triple has become sharper and yet is still a harmonious unit with which even beginners can do no wrong without boring the experienced motorcyclist. And that's thanks to sufficient suspension travel on roads of the most varied qualities as well as quite moderate off-road passages. There was little to complain about in our first impression, but we will certainly take a closer look at the Tiger.
