When comparing the Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022 and the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2023, it is clear that both bikes have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Starting with the Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022, one of its main strengths lies in its lively and high-torque engine. With 119 HP and 93 Nm of torque, this bike offers plenty of power and acceleration. Additionally, its extremely agile handling makes it a joy to ride, especially in tight corners and urban environments. On the other hand, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2023 offers its own set of strengths. One notable advantage is its versatility, as it is equally adept at navigating city traffic as it is at delivering high-speed performance. The bike's rev-happy and powerful engine, with 180 HP and 125 Nm of torque, ensures an exhilarating ride. Despite its power, the Speed Triple 1200 RS can also be driven quietly when needed, adding to its practicality. The bike's light and compact ride, along with its stable handling even in fast corners, further enhance its appeal. Additionally, the Speed Triple 1200 RS features strong brakes and precise handling, making it a well-rounded option for riders. Its beautiful details and timeless elegance add to its overall appeal.

However, both bikes have their weaknesses as well. The Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022 has a poorly legible TFT display, which can be inconvenient and potentially distracting for riders. The seat is also rather hard, which may lead to discomfort on longer rides. Additionally, the control of electronics could be more intuitive, making it less user-friendly.

Similarly, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2023 has its own set of weaknesses. It exhibits load change reactions at low speeds, which can affect the bike's overall stability and control. The slightly too low steering angle may limit maneuverability in certain situations. Taller riders may find the narrow knee angle uncomfortable, potentially impacting their riding experience. Furthermore, the traction control is considered too defensive even in track mode, which may limit the bike's performance capabilities. Finally, vibrations on the handlebars can be a minor annoyance for riders.

In conclusion, both the Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022 and the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2023 have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. The Yamaha excels in its lively engine, agile handling, top brakes, and high-quality chassis, providing pure driving pleasure. On the other hand, the Triumph offers versatility, a powerful engine, quiet operation, light and compact ride, stable handling, strong brakes, precise handling, and beautiful details. However, both bikes have areas for improvement, such as the Yamaha's TFT display and seat, and the Triumph's load change reactions, steering angle, knee angle, traction control, and handlebar vibrations. Ultimately, the choice between these two models will depend on the rider's specific preferences and priorities.

Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022

Yamaha MT-09 SP 2022

The fun bike MT-09 is at its best in the SP version! The extremely fun, lively three-cylinder engine feels like more than just 119 hp thanks to the abundance of torque. Add to that terrific, bike-like handling and phenomenal, finely controllable brakes. The upright, rear-facing riding position doesn't take away as much front-wheel feel in the MT-09 SP, as the high-quality chassis gives clean feedback from the road and rides every radius with stability. Unfortunately, as is typical for Yamaha, the clarity of the TFT display and the operating concept of the lush electronics leave a lot to be desired. The seat and pillion comfort could also be better. Otherwise, however, the MT-09 SP is the (almost) perfect bike for massive riding fun.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2023

Triumph has created an incredibly good all-rounder with the new Speed Triple 1200 RS. The engine can be moved very comfortably at low revs. The vehicle is very accessible when needed and inspires confidence. However, anyone who puts the spurs to the compact-looking motorbike reaps cruel acceleration and hard braking. The chassis is quite tight overall - as a result, it loses a little of its accessibility.
