The BMW S 1000 XR offers a pleasant touring motorbike on the basis of a supersports bike. It sounds like a compromise - but it rides like a precisely targeted development. The bike is practical and mature. Wind and weather protection are very good, the integration of the mobile phone is well tested and intuitive and the engine is simply always a joy to ride. Although the suspension adapts well to the load, it is never sensitive or really comfortable. The seating comfort is good, but the knee angle becomes a little sharp when touring for long distances.
