The big trip looks different for everyone. For some, it involves a pillion and luggage; for others, the exciting part only begins beyond the last strip of tarmac. That's why Morbidelli is unveiling no fewer than three versions of its new T802 platform at EICMA 2026: the T802X, T802XR and T802XR RALLY. They arrive as 2027 models and share the engine, frame and electronics. The differences lie where they matter for each intended use: wheels, suspension travel, ground clearance, brakes and seat.

Morbidelli T802 2027: Three adventure bikes with 94.5 hp
From 19 inches to Rally, the differences lie in the suspension
A new twin, three directions and a surprising amount of shared features: Morbidelli presents its next adventure family. Between the road tourer and the Rally version lie up to 64 millimetres of ground clearance.

Morbidelli T802: New twin with a 75-degree crank
At its heart is a liquid-cooled 799 cc parallel twin with double overhead camshafts and eight valves. The special feature lies in the crankshaft: its crankpins are offset by 75 degrees. According to Morbidelli, this should give the twin a deep, V-twin-like sound combined with smooth power delivery. Two balancer shafts are designed to reduce vibration. The manufacturer quotes 94.5 hp (69.5 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 80 Nm at 7,500 rpm, identical for all three versions.

The new 799 cc twin produces 94.5 hp in all three versions.
Bore and stroke are 88.0 × 65.7 mm, with a compression ratio of 13:1. Morbidelli quotes 52 kg for the engine without oil, along with pressure/splash lubrication. Bosch supplies the fuel injection and the MSE 9.0 engine management, and the throttle is operated electronically via ride-by-wire. A six-speed gearbox, an anti-hopping clutch and a standard up-and-down quickshifter send the power through a chain. An A2 version with 35 kW is planned; Euro 5+ type approval is still pending.
Morbidelli T802: KYB suspension as the foundation
All three models are built around a diamond frame with an aluminium double-sided swingarm. Up front works a 48 mm KYB USD fork with adjustable preload and damping. The shock, mounted via a Pro-Link linkage, offers tool-free preload adjustment plus adjustable rebound and compression with 20 and 23 clicks respectively. So anyone travelling with luggage or a pillion can adjust the preload at the roadside. A steering damper comes as standard.

The 48 mm KYB USD fork offers adjustable preload and damping.
The spoked wheels are tubeless across the range. At the front sit floating twin discs with four-piston calipers, at the rear a 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The tank holds 20.5 litres on all versions, and Morbidelli quotes a maximum payload of 190 kg. Crash bars and an engine guard come with every T802. The weights deserve a closer look: the following manufacturer figures explicitly apply without fuel.
Morbidelli T802X: The road-going version
The T802X is aimed at touring riders who travel mainly on tarmac, including two-up. It rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, shod with Metzeler Tourance in 110/80 R19 and 150/70 R17. The front brake discs measure 298 mm. 210 mm of suspension travel at each end meets 206 mm of ground clearance and a two-piece seat with an 830 mm seat height. That makes the X the lowest of the three siblings. The front mudguard sits low, and a centre stand is fitted as standard.

The T802X in Isaurus Blue combines 19/17-inch wheels with an 830 mm seat height.
Morbidelli quotes 189 kg without fuel and a 1,520 mm wheelbase. The T802X is 2,230 mm long, 1,400 mm tall and, like the whole family, 960 mm wide. The colour options are Isaurus Blue and Obsidian Cherry. The latter name hides a black shade that is said to show a violet shimmer in the light.
Morbidelli T802XR: Bigger wheels for gravel
The T802XR puts more emphasis on switching between tarmac and unpaved tracks. For this, it gets a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR in 90/90-21 and 150/70 R18. The front brake discs grow to 320 mm, and the front mudguard sits high. Suspension travel remains 210 mm at both ends. Even so, ground clearance rises by 39 mm over the X to 245 mm. The seat, designed for two, sits at 850 mm, and a centre stand is available as an option.

The T802XR relies on 21/18-inch wheels, a high mudguard and 245 mm of ground clearance.
At 186 kg without fuel, the XR is, according to the manufacturer, the lightest of the three versions. Its wheelbase is 1,524 mm, length 2,250 mm and height 1,410 mm. It is offered in Raven Black and Arctic White + Track Blue Pearl.
Morbidelli T802XR RALLY: More room underneath
The T802XR RALLY keeps the wheels, tyres and brakes of the XR, but the suspension steps up: 233 mm of travel at the front and 230 mm at the rear deliver 270 mm of ground clearance. That's 64 mm more than the T802X. The flat, one-piece rally seat sits at 875 mm and, together with the grippy tank section, is intended to allow more freedom of movement when riding standing up. Add to that the high front mudguard. No centre stand is planned for the RALLY.

On the T802XR RALLY, suspension travel grows to 233 mm at the front and 230 mm at the rear.
According to Morbidelli, the weight without fuel is 187 kg. The wheelbase grows to 1,530 mm, the length to 2,260 mm and the height to 1,440 mm. In terms of colours, the RALLY adopts the XR's selection: Raven Black or Arctic White + Track Blue Pearl. Its extra off-road ambition therefore comes from the suspension, while engine output and electronic features remain the same.
Morbidelli T802: Cornering ABS and three riding modes
The Bosch MM7.10 IMU feeds the electronics with information on lean angle and vehicle movement. Together with the wheel speed sensors, it forms the basis for cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control and anti-wheelie. Three riding modes adjust throttle response and the level of intervention: according to the manufacturer, Road works with progressive throttle response, early-intervening traction control, active anti-wheelie control and active cornering ABS. Sport offers more direct throttle response, allows more slip and a higher wheelie threshold, and the ABS steps in later.
In Off-road mode, the throttle is said to be particularly easy to meter at low revs, while the traction control intervenes only minimally. It can be fully switched off in every mode, and the rear-wheel ABS can additionally be deactivated in Off-road mode. Cruise control is standard on all versions. So nobody has to order an extra electronics package for the Rally version.
Morbidelli T802: Camera and radar as standard
Morbidelli draws no line between the versions when it comes to rider aids either. A front camera and a rear radar are fitted across the board. For vehicles in the blind spot, the manufacturer describes a warning in the mirror and a position indicator in the cockpit. The front camera also works as a dashcam: it automatically records in 1080p in one-minute clips to a memory card, with playback via the app. On top of that come tyre pressure monitoring, automatic headlights and self-cancelling indicators. The two fog lights take on the cornering light function, and the lighting is full LED.

The standard front camera records in 1080p as a dashcam.
Morbidelli T802: Comfort and a tall TFT cockpit
The portrait-mounted 7-inch colour TFT is reminiscent of a rally roadbook. Speed and gear are displayed large, and below them you can choose between navigation, music and tyre pressure display. For incoming calls, the caller's name appears at the top of the display. A light and a dark display mode can be switched manually or via the light sensor. Warnings are also shown as text, in German, English, Italian, Spanish or French. Morbidelli rounds off the control concept with illuminated switches.

The portrait-mounted 7-inch TFT offers a navigation display, among other things.
Heated grips and a heated seat are standard, each with three settings. The windscreen can be adjusted by hand by around 40 mm without tools. Hand guards, a USB charging port and a 12-volt 8 Ah battery are also part of the shared features. On paper, Morbidelli is therefore packing quite a lot into the base spec, which should be especially welcome on long touring days.
Morbidelli T802: Connectivity with its own rules
The M-Link 4 module has its own 4G SIM, GPS and a backup battery. The smartphone connects to the cockpit via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. After scanning a QR code on the TFT, Google turn-by-turn directions can be displayed, even while the phone stays locked in your pocket. Full screen mirroring is also possible. The free Morbidelli app offers vehicle location, status information on battery, fuel and connection, plus diagnostics for the engine, ABS and instruments.

Google turn-by-turn directions can be shown on the TFT even with the smartphone locked.
If theft monitoring is activated in the app, any movement of the bike is supposed to trigger a notification via 4G. According to the manufacturer, the backup battery allows continued tracking even if the main battery is disconnected. Remote engine shutdown is also provided, but it only takes effect below 20 km/h. The SOS button uses the bike's own connection to send a live location link to up to two selected contacts. The smartphone doesn't have to be on board for this.
Rides are saved with route, distance, time and speed and can be played back as an animation. Live tracking can be shared for 24 hours. Without a network, the module is said to buffer roughly a week's worth of rides and upload them later. Updates for the connectivity unit are delivered over the air. The connected services require mobile network coverage and an active Morbidelli Connect Plan for connectivity, navigation or both, available monthly or annually. The first year is included. The service launches in Europe first; features and availability may vary by market.
Morbidelli T802: Light signature and metal surfaces
Visually, the family relies on the contrast between softly shaped painted surfaces and angular technical components at the headlight, air intakes and subframe. Brushed aluminium features on the front spoiler and tank, while the rear carries an aluminium luggage rack with a textured surface. Metallic finishes on the triple clamp, handlebar, brake calipers and fork complete the concept. For the headlight and instrument bracket as well as the windscreen adjuster, Morbidelli uses a magnesium-aluminium alloy.

The Triad light signature combines a bar, two diagonal arms and three dots.
The Triad light signature combines a vertical bar, two diagonal arms and three dots. Morbidelli has even developed an alphabet from it for the T802 campaign. The three teaser chapters Identity, The Beauty of Technique and Beyond the Language culminate in the unveiling at EICMA. The specific Triad sign system belongs to the T802, while the reduced geometric design is meant to shape future models too.
Morbidelli T802: Model year 2027 and maintenance
The family will be presented on 3 November 2026 at EICMA in Milan, Hall 6, Stand D20. According to Morbidelli, development is in its final phase. In the first quarter of 2027, the brand intends to announce the start of production and sales. Which of the three versions will actually be offered and which dates apply will be decided market by market. The technical data refer to pre-production bikes and may change before series production begins. Touring accessories are also in development.
The first service is scheduled at 1,000 km, after which Morbidelli specifies 6,000 km intervals. Valve clearance is to be checked every 20,000 km. Today, the brand is run by Bologna-based MBP Moto S.r.l., which has its own design and development centre. Morbidelli has been part of the Keeway Group since April 2024. The name originates from Pesaro and is linked to the world championship titles of Paolo Pileri in 1975 and Pier Paolo Bianchi in 1976 and 1977 in the 125 cc class, as well as Mario Lega in 1977 in the 250 cc class. The new T802 now takes it into the mid-size adventure class.
