Valtinsu EM5 Pro: New Electric Dirt Bike with 60-Volt Drive

From Beginner Bike to Dirt Bike for Adults

Valtinsu has only been on the market since 2024 and made a name for itself with the EM5 as a supplier of affordable electric dirt bikes for beginners. Now the EM5 Pro follows – a model that offers much more than just a more powerful motor

Valtinsu is a young brand based in Hong Kong that launched in 2024. Its focus is on electric off-road models, sold primarily direct through its own online shops. Alongside the USA and Australia, this includes Europe, where the bikes ship from a European warehouse.

The brand made its name with the EM5. The electric dirt bike is aimed at beginners and younger riders, runs on 48 volts, rolls on a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel and reaches around 64 km/h. Adult riders quickly hit its limits, both in terms of ergonomics and performance. So with the EM5 Pro, Valtinsu didn't simply fit a more powerful motor, but redesigned the frame, wheel format and drivetrain. The model explicitly carries a minimum age requirement of 18.

Valtinsu Dirt Bike: Frame and Wheels for Adult Riders

Many electric dirt bikes in this price range are essentially tailored to teenagers. The EM5 Pro starts with a larger frame: according to the manufacturer, the seat height is around 80 cm, the wheelbase about 106 cm and the maximum payload around 130 kg. The bike itself weighs about 65 kg, making it significantly lighter than a combustion-engined enduro. That helps when manoeuvring, picking it up after a tip-over and during transport.

The most visible difference from the base model is the wheel combination of 17 inches at the front and 14 inches at the rear. Large front wheels have been a proven choice off-road for decades. They roll over roots, rocks and ledges more evenly and are less easily deflected in ruts. On loose ground, this can also help hold a cleaner line through corners.

Room for grown-ups: a larger frame, around 80 cm seat height and a 17-inch front wheel make the EM5 Pro a bike for riders who have outgrown youth models

60-Volt Drive with Three Riding Modes - Valtinsu EM-5 Pro

The heart of the Pro is the 60-volt platform. According to Valtinsu, the centrally mounted motor delivers 2,500 watts of rated output and up to 5,600 watts peak, equivalent to around 7.5 hp. The manufacturer quotes torque at the wheel as 240 Nm and climbing ability as up to 40 degrees.

As with any electric drive, the power is available from a standstill – a twist of the throttle is all it takes. That makes hill starts easier, but demands a sensitive throttle hand on slippery ground. Thanks to its central position, the motor's weight also sits low between the rider's legs, which helps especially in slow, technical sections.

According to the manufacturer, top speed is 84 km/h. The three riding modes are limited to around 42, 64 and 84 km/h. This lets you get to know the bike step by step instead of setting off with full power straight away.

Battery, Suspension and Brakes - What Does the Electric Dirt Bike Offer?

The motor is fed by a removable 60-volt battery with 27 Ah, equivalent to just over 1.6 kWh. Valtinsu claims a range of up to 95 km, though under ideal conditions with a rider weighing around 70 kg at about 19 km/h. Anyone riding briskly off-road or tackling climbs should expect significantly less. Even so, the capacity is easily enough for several laps of a practice area. According to the manufacturer, a full charge takes seven to eight hours.

Up front there's a hydraulic fork with around 15 cm of travel, at the rear a shock with about 5 cm. The suspension is designed for dirt tracks, meadows and practice laps; bigger jumps are not part of its remit. Braking is handled by hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. According to the manufacturer, the bike is protected against splashing water to IPX6; deep water crossings are not intended.

Range with a footnote: the quoted 95 km apply at a leisurely pace; in real off-road use the distance is shorter

Intended Use, Price and Verdict on the Valtinsu EM-5 Pro

The EM5 Pro is a pure off-road vehicle without road registration. In Switzerland, Germany and Austria, it may only be ridden on private land with the owner's permission or on approved tracks. Despite its compact size, it has little in common with an e-bike, as it has no pedals and is controlled via a throttle.

In Valtinsu's EU shop, the EM5 Pro in black currently costs 1,999 euros instead of the regular 2,199 euros. According to the manufacturer, shipping from the European warehouse is free. On top of that come a one-year warranty and a 30-day return policy.

With the Pro, Valtinsu takes a clear step away from a pure entry-level product. A larger frame, 17-inch front wheel and its own 60-volt platform push the model towards a fully-fledged electric dirt bike for adults. Yet it doesn't give up the controlled access via the riding modes. For the young brand, the Pro is an important building block for appealing to more experienced riders in the growing segment of electric off-road bikes.
