Touratech Suspension expands range for CFMOTO
CFMOTO is now represented on the European market with several adventure bikes. Touratech distinguishes between the 450MT as an all-rounder in the entry-level segment, the road-oriented 800MT, and the 800MT-X, which is geared more towards off-road and long-distance touring use. Matching these three models, Touratech Suspension offers various suspension components. Depending on the bike and the chosen solution, these are said by the manufacturer to bring particular advantages with higher payload, sportier riding, and more demanding off-road use. Touratech does not rely on the same solution for all three CFMOTO models. While comparatively simple spring changes are already available for the 800MT, the 450MT can be converted more extensively. For the 800MT-X, in turn, a specially tuned Extreme shock is available.

CFMOTO 450MT: Extreme shock and Open Cartridge Kit
For the CFMOTO 450MT from model year 2024 onwards, the suspension range consists of an Extreme shock for the rear and an Open Cartridge Kit for the fork. Both components are available individually. According to Touratech, the Extreme shock features a large adjustment range for spring preload. In addition, rebound and compression damping can be adjusted. The base setup chosen by Touratech is tuned for a rider weighing around 100 kilograms plus typical touring payload. Customisation to suit personal requirements is also said to be possible. The Extreme shock for the CFMOTO 450MT costs 1,299 euros.
Open Cartridge Kit replaces the stock fork internals
The front end of the CFMOTO 450MT can also be converted. The Open Cartridge Kit replaces, as a complete unit, the hydraulics and mechanics of the standard KYB fork. According to Touratech, no further modifications to the bike are required for this. Afterwards, spring preload as well as rebound and compression damping can be adjusted from the top. Touratech states that the cartridge kit is designed to respond sensitively to road irregularities while still offering reserves for harder off-road use. An integrated hydraulic end stop is also said to prevent bottoming out under heavy load. The Open Cartridge Kit likewise costs 1,299 euros.

25 millimetres more travel for the CFMOTO 450MT
For riders who want to focus their 450MT more on off-road use, Touratech goes a step further. A combination of Extreme shock and Open Cartridge Kit with an additional 25 millimetres of travel is offered. The complete +25 mm set is available under part number 372-5908 and costs 2,598 euros. This means that for the 450MT, both individual components and a complete package designed for more extensive off-road use are available.
CFMOTO 800MT: Suspension upgrade from 169 euros
For the CFMOTO 800MT from model year 2021 onwards, the range starts considerably cheaper. Touratech offers progressive fork springs for 169 euros. Alternatively, there is a set with progressive replacement springs for fork and shock for 279 euros. According to Touratech, these variants are aimed at 800MT riders who want to change the stock suspension with manageable effort, without immediately switching to a full premium suspension. A lowering option is also available. Progressive fork springs for a 25-millimetre lowering cost 169 euros. A complete lowering set with replacement springs for fork and shock is offered for 279 euros.

For the CFMOTO 800MT-X from model year 2025 onwards, Touratech takes a different approach. For this model, which is geared more towards off-road and long-distance touring use, a model-specific tuned Extreme shock is available. According to Touratech, the monoshock features the same extensive adjustment options as the corresponding shock for the smaller CFMOTO 450MT. The Extreme shock for the 800MT-X costs 1,499 euros. In addition, Touratech offers a technically otherwise identical version that reduces seat height by 25 millimetres. This variant also costs 1,499 euros.

From small conversions to comprehensive suspension tuning
The new range covers different approaches. For the CFMOTO 800MT, you can already start with swapping the springs. For the 450MT, on the other hand, a new shock, a cartridge kit, and a variant with additional travel are available. The 800MT-X can be fitted with an Extreme shock or lowered by 25 millimetres. This means CFMOTO riders can choose between suspension optimisation, additional travel, and lowering, depending on the model.
