For the 2026 model year, Suzuki continues to rely on the proven 1,037 cc 90° V-Twin with DOHC valve control. This twin-cylinder engine delivers 106 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and reaches its peak torque of 100 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Dual iridium spark plugs per cylinder aim to optimize combustion, while sodium-filled exhaust valves enhance thermal stability. The engine meets the Euro-5-Plus standards, keeping it technically up-to-date.

Transmission and Ride Assist: Trusted Tech for 2026

The six-speed gearbox of the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 and 1050DE remains designed for everyday dynamic performance. A short first gear ensures quick acceleration, while the long-geared sixth gear is intended to reduce RPM and fuel consumption on the highway.

The standard bidirectional Quick-Shift system allows for clutchless shifting in both directions. Additionally, the Suzuki Clutch-Assist System (SCAS) reduces hand effort and prevents rear wheel hopping during downshifts.
