New Royal Enfield Bullet 650 – Classic with a Twin Heart

Since 1932, the Royal Enfield Bullet has embodied pure, unadulterated motorcycling. Now, it proudly continues its storied legacy with a 650cc parallel-twin. After nearly a century of evolution from the 350cc to the 500cc single-cylinder, the Bullet is powered by a twin-cylinder for the first time.

At the heart is the 650cc parallel-twin engine, familiar from other models by the manufacturer. The unit pairs with a 6-speed gearbox and slip clutch, which the manufacturer claims ensures smooth power delivery and effortless shifting. This gives the Bullet 650 the strongest performance in the lineup to date—without losing its down-to-earth character.

Externally, the Bullet remains instantly recognizable. A steel tube frame, hand-painted pinstripes, and winged 3D badges define its familiar look. The new retro seat, upright handlebars, and full-metal construction with a 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel maintain the classic silhouette. Comfort is ensured by Showa suspension, which Royal Enfield claims smooths out the bumps. The teardrop tank and tiger-eye lights pay homage to past icons, while integrated LED headlights and the combo instrument with an LCD display add modern touches.

The Bullet was never just a motorcycle—it was a tool, a companion, and a symbol. As early as the 1940s, the Indian army adopted the machine, laying the foundation for its deep-rooted presence on the subcontinent. The introduction of the rear swingarm in 1948 and the four-valve technology in the 500cc model demonstrated that progress was always part of the Bullet's tradition. Over nine decades, the line persisted: from the kickstart era to the electric starter and five-speed gearbox in the 1990s, and the modern UCE engine from 2010. Now, the twin generation follows.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 will be offered in Europe exclusively in the color "Cannon Black." It is set to be available in Germany from early 2026, priced at 7,340 EUR. This launch positions the Bullet 650 as an authentic, classic cruiser with modern technology and the renowned Royal Enfield DNA.
