With the Diavel V4 RS, Ducati launches a limited-edition muscle bike that visually and technically aligns closely with the brand's superbikes. The Desmosedici Stradale engine, advanced electronics package, and numerous high-end components clearly position the Diavel V4 RS at the sporty pinnacle of the range.

Desmosedici Stradale in a Muscle Bike: Diavel V4 RS Performance

The Ducati Diavel V4 RS is powered by the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, delivering 182 HP (14 HP more than the Diavel V4 with the Granturismo engine). Unlike the Granturismo variant, this engine features desmodromic valvetrain, a dry clutch, and Euro-5+ tuning. The maximum revs reach 13,500 rpm in gears two to six, and 14,000 rpm in first gear.

A special gear ratio is designed to provide even more thrust from the lower gears. Coupled with the optimized DQS 2.0 quickshifter and the STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, the Diavel V4 RS promises exceptionally responsive acceleration and a more direct shift feel when upshifting. Ducati claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds—a benchmark typically only achieved by MotoGP bikes. Marc Marquez, the Ducati star, set this time fittingly.

Chassis and Suspension of the Ducati Diavel V4 RS

The engine assumes a load-bearing role within the chassis. The frame structure is composed of an aluminum monocoque combined with a single-sided swingarm and a steel trellis subframe. The suspension features fully adjustable Öhlins components (NIX30 fork and STX46 shock), which are tuned for sporty responsiveness.

A set of forged 5-Y-spoke wheels paired with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires in the special rear size of 240/45 further emphasize the dynamic riding qualities. The Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes with 330 mm discs are directly sourced from the Panigale V4, and according to Ducati, they offer braking performance of up to 11.5 m/s².

Ducati Diavel V4 RS – Electronics Package and Assistive Systems

The Diavel V4 RS comes equipped with an extensive electronics package:

  • Bosch IMU-based systems
  • DTC, DWC, DQS 2.0, ABS Cornering
  • Four riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Wet
  • Three power modes: High, Medium, Low
  • DPL (Ducati Power Launch) with three stages

New to the Diavel lineup is the Race mode. The TFT display now includes a "Track Info Mode" panel, similar to the Panigale or Streetfighter V4. The launch control is designed to manage traction and power delivery in three stages, while the rider only operates the clutch. The electronics record best times for 0-100 and 0-200 km/h.

Design, Craftsmanship, and Features

The Ducati Diavel V4 RS combines the iconic Diavel lines with unique RS features:

  • Carbon parts: fenders, tank cover, air ducts, seat cover
  • Laser-engraved RS logo on the key, display, and cylinder head plaque
  • Titanium end caps and aluminum covers on the exhaust system
  • Red Stylema brake calipers, exclusive RS paintwork

The seat features red stitching and a sporty contour. The Diavel V4 RS is a single-seater as standard, but it can be upgraded with a passenger seat and folding footpegs. A lithium-ion battery contributes to weight savings, with a total reduction of approximately 3 kg compared to the Diavel V4.
