Adventurers don't have it easy when it comes to choosing gear. Anyone who racks up huge distances and rides through different regions on two wheels will likely encounter a variety of climate zones, different altitudes, changing weather, and varying terrain. That means it can get hot and sweaty in the saddle at times, while at other times protection from wet and cold is needed. That's no easy task for your own gear, especially when the luggage on the bike is supposed to stay within limits. Touratech now presents the fourth generation of its Compañero suit, which is meant to offer exactly this versatility.

Two in one: Summertrack + Weathertrack
The new Touratech Compañero Worldtrack is designed to hold up in all weather conditions as a combination of Summertrack and Weathertrack. The airy Summertrack forms the base: made from abrasion-resistant Cordura® 500, reinforced with Cordura® 2000, and featuring generous mesh panels made from Cordura® Air, it's meant to provide a comfortable feel even at high temperatures. The protector setup comes from SAS-TEC and, according to the manufacturer, meets Level 2 at all relevant points. This means the Summertrack achieves safety class AA despite the mesh panels.

The Weathertrack, in turn, is a full-fledged weather shield: Gore-Tex 3-layer laminate, welded AquaSeal zippers, and a warming air cushion created by connecting the jacket and pants are meant to protect against rain and cold. This layer has no protectors, as it is worn over the Summertrack. Reflective zones increase visibility.

Comfort thought through down to the last detail
When it comes to comfort, Touratech holds nothing back: stepless adjustment options at the waist, chest and sleeves, a soft collar, and a practical pocket system with a keyless-go compartment are all included, as is the removable inner jacket. This can be worn separately as a casual jacket.
Who is the Touratech Compañero Worldtrack made for?
Adventurers, frequent travelers and touring riders looking for a well-thought-out system with high protection and comfort should find what they're looking for with the Worldtrack. The combination of ventilation, protection and weather protection appeals to all those who want their gear ready for every eventuality - even if that comes at a premium price.

Conclusion: Touratech Compañero Worldtrack: Two suits in one
The Companero Worldtrack is the fourth generation of the modular touring suit and follows the formula of Summertrack plus Weathertrack: an airy mesh suit for heat and a GORE-TEX rain suit that goes over it for foul weather. Despite the large mesh areas, the combo achieves the second-highest protection class AA thanks to robust Cordura. The system covers desert heat as well as three-season tours. At around 2,800 euros for the complete set, it sits in the high price range. Sensible for touring riders who travel through strongly changing climates and prefer a flexible layering system over a compromise suit.
