The Icons Motorcycle Collection celebrates iconic models from Harley-Davidson history each year through elaborately designed special editions. The Fat Boy Gray Ghost commemorates the debut of the Fat Boy in 1990 - a bike that combined the classic post-war Hydra-Glide look with modern technology. Limited to 1,990 units worldwide, the new edition is offered in Germany at a price of 30,700 euros (Austria: 36,500 euros, Switzerland: 30,700 CHF).

Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Gray Ghost: Chrome as far as the eye can see

The Fat Boy Gray Ghost stands out thanks to its striking Reflection Finish. This high-gloss coating is achieved through a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process - a technique in which aluminum alloys are vaporized under vacuum and applied to surfaces. Until now, this process has only been used on smaller components such as tank emblems, but on the Gray Ghost it's applied for the first time to large areas like the tank and fenders. The result: a chrome-like look with improved corrosion resistance.

The special edition comes equipped with the typical Lakester alloy wheels, fitted with a 160/60 R18 tire up front and a massive 240/40 R18 out back - both from Michelin (Scorcher 11). This ensures the bike's signature powerful road presence.

More power with the Milwaukee-Eight 117

For the 2025 model year, the Fat Boy received a technical overhaul. The Gray Ghost benefits from the new Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine:

Power: 75 kW (102 hp)
Torque: 165 Nm at 2,750 rpm
Revised combustion chamber shape, oval intake ports, and optimized valve seats improve efficiency and power delivery.
The new cooling system with a frame-mounted oil cooler provides greater thermal stability, especially at low speeds and in hot ambient temperatures.
A newly tuned 2-in-2 exhaust system underscores the bike's powerful sound character.

Every Gray Ghost is individually numbered. The serial number is engraved on the tank console, and a special medallion on the rear fender indicates membership in the Icons Collection. This makes every unit a genuine collector's item.
