Suzuki V-Strom 800DE 2025

At the heart of the V-Strom 800DE lies a 776cc parallel-twin engine, which Suzuki claims strikes a perfect balance between powerful acceleration and smooth operation. The 270-degree firing order is designed to deliver a rich sound and a distinctive power delivery. This engine is complemented by the Suzuki Cross-Balancer—a patented system featuring two balancer shafts that reduce vibrations and ensure a smooth running character. With a peak output of 84 hp (62 kW), the V-Strom 800DE stays within the mid-power range but is said to impress with its eager-to-rev nature and robust torque at lower RPMs. The Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) eases clutch operation and incorporates an anti-hop feature to stabilize the rear end during hard braking.

The V-Strom 800DE 2025 continues to rely on a torsion-resistant steel tube frame paired with a lightweight aluminum swingarm. The 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel with wire spokes are designed to offer high off-road capability without compromising agility on asphalt.

According to the manufacturer, the Showa suspension provides a good balance between comfort and sportiness. Up front, you'll find a fully adjustable USD fork, while the rear mono-shock is also adjustable for both rebound and compression. With a ground clearance of 220 mm, the V-Strom 800DE is equipped to handle challenging terrains.

The braking system remains proven: dual front disc brakes and a single rear disc work with a two-stage ABS system that allows for reduced intervention specifically tailored for off-road riding. Additionally, Suzuki offers experienced riders the option to completely deactivate the ABS on the rear wheel.

Modern electronics are also onboard the new V-Strom 800DE. In addition to various riding modes, Suzuki offers the "Gravel" program for traction control. This mode allows for controlled rear wheel slip to enhance control on loose surfaces.

A bidirectional quickshifter is standard, enabling smooth gear changes without needing to engage the clutch. The tech package is further enhanced by the Low RPM Assist, which helps prevent engine stalling, and the Suzuki Easy Start System, which simplifies starting with just a quick press of a button.

Adventure bikes need to be not only off-road capable but also suitable for long-distance travel. The V-Strom 800DE addresses this with a generously padded seat and a three-position adjustable windscreen.

The five-inch color TFT display provides all vital information clearly and remains easily readable even in changing light conditions. The entire lighting system, including the indicators, is equipped with LED technology.

Visually, Suzuki stays true to its distinctive lines while introducing fresh color options. According to the manufacturer, the following color variants are available for the 2025 model year:

• Champion Yellow No.2 (YU1), a tribute to Suzuki's legendary off-road models
• Pearl Tech White (QU2), a modern and sleek color variant
• Glass Sparkle Black (YVB), classic and timeless

The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is now available at Suzuki dealerships. The price is set at €11,900 (MSRP ex works, excluding additional costs). Additionally, the adventure bike can be restricted to 35 kW, making it accessible for the A2 license category.
