Benelli spans the range from A1 to future tech

A 125 for beginners, two sporty twins and an adventure bike to succeed the TRK 502: at EICMA 2026, Benelli is setting several courses for 2027 at once. On top of that comes a name that should make fans of the brand prick up their ears. With the Tornado Naked Tre 903 Concept, the triple is back in the spotlight. While the four production models come with concrete 2027 launch dates, the concept shows what the design centre and R&D team in Pesaro are working on. The following technical data and equipment details come from Benelli.

Tornado Naked 125: A sporty entry with 15 hp

Alongside the BN 125, BKX 125 and BKX 125 S, Benelli's A1 line-up gets a sporty newcomer. The Tornado Naked 125 visually carries its mass up front, combines a sculpted tank with a short tail and uses a specially developed white base colour with green and fluorescent red accents. Black technical surfaces provide the contrast. The T-shaped light signature and hand guards with integrated indicators link it to the bigger naked bikes. Full LED lighting and a 5-inch colour TFT with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth plus map and turn-by-turn navigation are also included.

The Tornado Naked 125 combines sporty looks with a 790 mm seat height.

The liquid-cooled 125 cc single features fuel injection, four valves and a six-speed gearbox. Benelli quotes 15 hp at 9,500 rpm and 12 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The clutch is said to be operable with one finger. The homologated consumption of 2.1 l/100 km combined with a ten-litre tank gives, according to Benelli, a range of almost 500 kilometres. Also relevant for anyone getting their first bike are the 790 mm seat height and 143 kg wet weight. So besides the sporty looks, there are some pretty solid everyday arguments on the table too.

A steel twin-spar frame forms the basis, with an upside-down fork up front. At the rear, the preload-adjustable shock is mounted to the double-sided swingarm via a progressive linkage. The braking system with one disc per wheel, a four-piston caliper up front and dual-channel ABS rounds off the package. The 17-inch aluminium wheels with Y-spokes wear 100/80 tyres front and 130/70 rear. Benelli presents the Tornado Naked 125 as the sporty flagship of its A1 road models. Market launch is announced for summer 2027.

Tornado Naked Twin 550: A2 meets a new design language

The Tornado Naked Twin 550 sets the new design language for Benelli's sporty nakeds. A muscular tank and a slim, tapering tail define the silhouette. Up front, two central projectors separate low and high beam, while lateral daytime running lights complete the T shape. The front indicators sit in slim hand guards; at the rear, the indicators also serve as tail lights. The high-resolution 5-inch colour TFT offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi plus map and turn-by-turn navigation. There are also Normal and Sport riding modes. Traction control and ABS can be switched off.

From spring 2027, the Twin 550 will also be available in Oxide Green.

The steel trellis frame houses the 554 cc parallel twin familiar from the Tornado 550, with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. In A2 trim it delivers 35 kW at 6,500 rpm and 53 Nm at 5,500 rpm. An unrestricted version with 41.2 kW or 56 hp at 8,250 rpm is also planned. Benelli says the setup has been tailored to naked bike use. A 41 mm USD fork with adjustable compression, rebound and preload, plus a monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound on an aluminium swingarm, allow the chassis to be fine-tuned.

Up front, two semi-floating 320 mm discs with radial four-piston calipers do the stopping. At the rear, a 260 mm disc and a two-piston caliper are used. The 17-inch aluminium wheels are 3.5 inches wide at the front and 4.5 inches at the rear, with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres. Benelli lists Oxide Green, Storm Grey and Midnight Black as colours. The Twin 550 is due to be available from spring 2027.

Tornado Naked Twin 700: More displacement and comfort

The bigger Twin 700 builds on the 550 design shown in 2025 but ups the ante on engine and features. Its new aluminium double-sided swingarm, wider rear wheel and its own silencer set it apart both technically and visually. The 698 cc parallel twin comes from the TRK 702 and TRK 702 X, but gets modifications to intake and exhaust here. The key data: 73.4 hp at 8,000 rpm and 67 Nm at 6,000 rpm. An A2 version with 35 kW has also been announced. The revised setup is meant to ensure smooth, full-bodied power delivery across the rev range.

The Twin 700 gets its own aluminium swingarm and a wider rear tyre.

Engine tech includes 42 mm throttle bodies with ride-by-wire, Bosch electronics, double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The crankpins are offset by 180 degrees. The six-speed gearbox is paired with an anti-hopping clutch with an assist function to reduce lever effort. Benelli really piles it on when it comes to comfort: heated grips, heated seat, cruise control and a bidirectional quickshifter are all standard. Added to that are three riding modes, switchable traction control and switchable ABS, tyre pressure sensors and a USB-C socket. So a sporty naked bike and warm fingers don't have to be mutually exclusive here.

The 5-inch colour TFT with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth displays map or turn-by-turn navigation as well as calls, music and routes. The tank holds 15.5 litres. Full LED lighting, the T signature made up of two central projectors and lateral daytime running lights, and indicators in the hand guards continue the family look. At the rear, the indicators double as brake and tail lights. Benelli quotes 195 kg wet weight and 805 mm seat height. The combination of steel tube frame and Marzocchi suspension, developed and tuned in Pesaro, is meant to blend easy manoeuvrability with precision.

The USD fork is fully adjustable, while the rear shock can be adjusted for preload and rebound. Suspension travel is 120 mm front and 130 mm rear. Brembo supplies radial four-piston calipers for the two 320 mm front discs and a floating two-piston caliper for the 260 mm rear disc. On the 17-inch aluminium wheels, the front stays at 120/70, while the rear tyre grows from the 550's 160/60 to 180/55. Market launch is planned for the second half of 2027.

TRK 602 X: The successor to the TRK 502 is ready

Following the preview at the previous EICMA, Benelli is now showing the final TRK 602 X. It is set to succeed the TRK 502 and serve as the entry point into the TRK touring world. Design-wise, it picks up ideas from the 702 and 902 ranges but uses more flowing, less interrupted surfaces. The upper tank fairing merges into the beak and radiator shroud, while slim side panels connect the seat area and subframe. Benelli is thus evolving the familiar TRK look rather than turning the concept completely on its head.

The engine gains displacement: the 554 cc twin with a 270-degree crankshaft is known from the Tornado 550 and also forms the basis of the Naked Twin 550. For the TRK it gets a new airbox and a revised exhaust. Benelli quotes 35 kW at 6,500 rpm and 53 Nm at 5,500 rpm for the A2 version. The unrestricted version makes 41.2 kW or 56 hp at 8,250 rpm. The manufacturer promises more torque across the entire curve thanks to the increase in displacement.

The steel trellis main frame is retained. New are an aluminium tube structure for the front and instrument support as well as a lighter subframe. Seat height is 825 mm. Up front there is a new 43 mm USD fork with 140 mm of travel, at the rear a shock mounted to the aluminium swingarm with 173 mm of travel. It can be adjusted for preload, compression and rebound damping. Two 320 mm discs with radial four-piston calipers up front and a 260 mm disc with a floating single-piston caliper at the rear handle braking. ABS is on board. The standard aluminium alloy spoked wheels measure 19 inches front and 17 inches rear, with 110/80 and 150/70 tyres.

The TRK 602 X is set to succeed the TRK 502 and arrives from spring 2027.

The touring features go beyond the bare essentials, too. The high-resolution 5-inch colour TFT comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, turn-by-turn and map navigation. The riding modes are Normal and Sport; traction control and ABS can be switched off. Hand guards with indicators, a USB socket, centre stand, side crash bars and an aluminium bash plate are standard. Optional extras include aluminium side cases and a top case from the Benelli range as well as a heated seat and heated grips with three intensity levels. From spring 2027, the TRK 602 X is due to be available in Heron White, Jungle Fog Green, Storm Grey and Dune Sea.

Tre 903 Concept: Triple with movable wings

Finally, a look into the future. With the Tornado Naked Tre 903 Concept, Benelli ties in with the triple tradition of the Tornado Tre and Tornado Naked Tre from the 2000s. The transversely mounted inline engine, however, is a completely new development. It displaces just under 900 cc, weighs 56 kg according to the manufacturer and, thanks to a strongly oversquare design, is said to rev up to 14,000 rpm. Ride-by-wire, an anti-hopping clutch, a bidirectional quickshifter and a six-axis IMU are part of the concept. The eye-catching exhaust end piece is 3D-printed. Benelli also sees this production technique as an option for very small series.

The modular frame is particularly interesting. Three independent assemblies for front, middle and rear are meant to be adaptable to different vehicle concepts and stiffness requirements by swapping individual sections. Benelli also expects more efficient assembly from this. On the show bike, the front and rear sections are made of aluminium, while the middle section including the seat support is made of composite material. An inverted-design aluminium swingarm, slicks, Brembo brakes and fully adjustable suspension from Marzocchi up front and Öhlins at the rear round off the sporty build.

Benelli integrates the clip-on mounts and a minimalist landscape-format display into the triple clamp. A flexible air duct runs from the front intake around the steering head to the airbox so that the steering lock is preserved. The real tech showpiece, though, is the active wings: according to Benelli, the IMU controls their angle of attack depending on speed and riding situation when braking, accelerating and cornering. Both sides can be controlled independently. When stationary or not needed, the wings retract into the aerodynamic ducts. The Tre 903 clearly remains a development study and a test bed for future solutions.
