With the new Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer, the Italian manufacturer expands its popular crossover lineup. The production model is based on the concept shown last year and is designed to bridge the gap between street tourer and adventure biking.

Benelli Sets the TRK 902 Xplorer on Its Journey – Features

At first glance, the off-road character of the TRK 902 Xplorer is evident. A compact front with an adjustable windscreeneither manual or electronic depending on the variantdefines its look. Integrated LED indicators in the handguards and optional auxiliary lights emphasize its rugged appeal. For terrain beyond the tarmac, Benelli relies on tubeless tangential-spoke wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR M+S tires.

A 20-liter steel tank with a partially clad plastic cover offers a high range, combined with a fuel consumption of about 5 liters per 100 km. Additional details include a distinctive twin-headlight design, grippy nylon passenger grips, and a well-thought-out protection system with crash bars and an aluminum engine guard as standard.

Engine and Drive: 904cc Twin with 95 HP

At the heart of the TRK 902 Xplorer is a new 904cc parallel twin with four valves per cylinder. This engine complies with the Euro 5+ standard and is tuned for strong torque delivery in the low and mid-range. It delivers a maximum output of 95.2 HP (70 kW) at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 90 Nm at 6500 rpm. Ride-by-wire with 46mm throttle bodies and Bosch Motronic control ensures precise throttle response. A slipper clutch is also included.

The engine is integrated into a steel trellis frame with reinforcement plates, developed in Pesaro. The suspension features a 43mm Marzocchi upside-down fork, fully adjustable for rebound, compression, and preload. At the rear, a monoshock with an aluminum swingarm and remote preload adjuster is employed. The suspension travel is 170 mm, ground clearance is 215 mm, and seat height is 840 mmfigures that, according to the manufacturer, ensure comfortable and secure handling off-road.

For the braking system, Benelli relies on Brembo systems with 320mm discs and radially mounted monoblock calipers at the front, along with a 260mm disc at the rear.
