Insta360 X4 Air: New 8K 360° Camera

The popular X series from Insta360 is getting a new addition: the Insta360 X4 Air. This ultra-light 360° camera is perfect for everyday use, travel, and action-packed adventures. Weighing in at just 165 grams, it still delivers stunning 8K 360° videos with all the features you'd expect from a modern action cam.

The X4 Air is significantly lighter than the well-known X5, aiming to attract not only professionals but also beginners. Its body is rugged, compact, and waterproof up to 15 meters, making it perfect for your backpack or handlebar.

Two large 1/1.8-inch sensors ensure detailed shots with vibrant colors, whether you're riding, hiking, or on a city trip.

Insta360 has focused on enhancing image quality and usability. The new AdaptiveTone algorithm individually analyzes the lighting of each lens and automatically adjusts brightness and colors. The result: natural contrasts, even in backlit conditions.

Additionally, Active HDR provides realistic dynamics in both bright and dark areas, now even in 8K at 30 fps.

Anyone who's worked with 360° cameras knows you don't have to worry about framing your shot. The dual fisheye lenses capture everything. You can select your desired frame later in the Insta360 app.

With features like InstaFrame, you can export 360° videos directly as shareable clips while still capturing the full panoramic video. Perfect for social media or vlogs without hours of post-editing.

Especially useful: The X4 Air responds to gesture control, voice commands, or a twist of the selfie stick to start recording. This is useful when the camera is mounted on a motorcycle or when you're wearing gloves.

The camera supports Bluetooth headsets like Sena or Cardo, allowing you to record audio directly through your headsetpractical on the motorcycle or on-the-go.

The interchangeable lenses now have double the drop resistance and can be quickly replaced if scratched. An optional lens guard prevents reflections and provides protection during off-road tours.

With a battery life of up to 100 minutes at 6K, the camera is well-equipped for longer rides or day trips.

In the Insta360 app, AI-powered tools like Auto Edit and FlashCut handle the editing. Highlights are automatically detected, transitions are set, and music is synchronized. You can also upload clips directly to the cloud and share them via Insta360+, complete with interactive 360° playback.

The Insta360 X4 Air will be available from October 28th in Graphite Black and Polar White.
