Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 – Upgrade for Adventure Seekers
Enhanced Comfort, Technology, and Safety for the Ultimate Journey
With the Multistrada V4 Rally 2026, Ducati introduces a tech upgrade for adventurers. Enhanced comfort, new suspension logic, additional safety features, and smart electronics aim to make long rides even more enjoyable—whether on asphalt, gravel, or endless highways.
For the 2026 model year, Ducati sharpens the Multistrada V4 Rally adventure tourer with precision. According to the manufacturer, the focus is on enhanced long-distance capability, off-road prowess, and active safety. Featuring a new suspension algorithm, revamped combined braking system, intelligent aerodynamics, and optimized comfort for both rider and passenger, this V4 family model aims to maintain its benchmark status among long-distance enduros.
Comfort for Two and the Ultimate Adventure
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 is clearly aimed at high-mileage riders, whether solo or with a passenger. Ergonomics have been further refined for this purpose. The new windscreen is 40 mm wider and 20 mm taller, providing noticeably better wind protection. The position of the luggage racks has been adjusted to give passengers more legroom. A new support on the top case enhances passenger safety.
A standard comfort feature is the center stand. It has been redesigned for easier operation, especially when loading side cases or performing maintenance on the go. Combined with heated grips, an optional heated seat, and various seat height options, the Multistrada V4 Rally remains a reliable partner on long journeys or in cooler temperatures.
Adaptive Suspension Technology with Broad Versatility
The centerpiece of the technology package is the semi-active Skyhook Suspension EVO. It offers 200 mm of travel on both axles and is enhanced by new suspension logics. The advanced auto-leveling function takes into account the weight of the rider, passenger, and luggage, adjusting the suspension settings accordingly.
New: The suspension characteristics can now be adjusted independently of the selected riding mode at any timefrom comfortable to firm when transitioning from highway to twisty roads. Adjustments are made via the revamped 6.5-inch TFT display. Additionally, the Adaptive DSS EVO system detects the riding style and surface conditions in real-time, automatically tuning the hydraulic damping to suit the conditions.
Ducati Vehicle Observer: MotoGP-Derived Electronics
A standout feature of the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 is the new "Ducati Vehicle Observer" (DVO). According to Ducati, the algorithm is derived from MotoGP and simulates the interaction of 70 virtual sensors. The aim is to capture dynamic data more precisely and allow systems like Cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control to be fine-tuned. The electronic combined braking system has also been further developed. In addition to the well-known front-to-rear function, where the rear brake supports when the front brake is applied, the reverse strategy is now implemented: when the rear brake is engaged, the system can also apply braking force to the front. This reduces pitching, providing a comfort boost, especially when fully loaded or with a passenger.
Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally 2026: Next-Level Assistance Systems
As before, the Multistrada V4 Rally comes equipped with front and rear radar. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) remain onboard. New to the lineup is the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) feature, which alerts the rider of an impending collision with a vehicle ahead via a pop-up on the display.
Ducati has also made advancements in lighting. The new lighting system is designed to reduce the shadow area in front of the front wheel, with the cornering lights now illuminating more effectively. The Coming-Home function keeps the low beam on for a short time after shutting off the enginehandy when opening the garage door. The Ducati Brake Light (emergency flashing during hard braking) and an optional rear fog light enhance visibility in poor weather conditions.
Automatic Lowering at Standstill
A technical detail with significant everyday utility is the automatic lowering at low speeds. When the speed drops below 10 km/h, the motorcycle automatically lowers itself. As speed increases again (over 50 km/h on the road / 20 km/h off-road), the original ride height is restored. The system can be deactivated upon request but remains active as standard.
Infotainment and Ergonomics
The Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 features an upgraded 6.5-inch TFT color display. According to Ducati, it offers a new, more intuitive user interface. Navigation is still provided via the Ducati Connect App, which also supports phone calls and music playback when using an intercom. Heated grips and seat can be adjusted directly through the display. The central cockpit also manages suspension settings and displays tire pressure (TPMS).
Multistrada Rally 2026: V4 Engine Retained - Featuring Quickshifter 2.0
There are no changes to the V4 Granturismo with 1,158 cc. Performance figures remain at 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 121 Nm at 8,750 rpm. A variable cylinder deactivation helps save fuel and enhances comfort, especially in stop-and-go traffic. New is the Ducati Quickshifter 2.0. This system operates without microswitches, using a sensor on the shift drum instead. As a result, the lever travel is shorter, providing a more direct shifting feel.
Off-Road Prowess of the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally 2026
The aluminum monocoque frame is retained, as is the double-sided aluminum swingarm. The swingarm has been mounted higher to enhance the anti-squat effecta plus for more precise handling when fully loaded. The preload on the shock absorber can now be adjusted over a wider range (20 mm instead of 18 mm) to better compensate for different load conditions. Also new is the 280 mm rear brake disc. The Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 is exclusively equipped with tubeless spoke wheels, standard with a tire pressure monitoring system.
