Ducati has unveiled the DesertX Discovery, a new version of the adventure bike that features extensive standard equipment and a 21-inch front wheel. The motorcycle will be available at dealerships starting in July 2024.
Adventure-oriented features of the DesertX Discovery
The DesertX Discovery comes in a Thrilling Black and Ducati Red paint scheme. Standard features include reinforced handguards, an engine crash bar, a radiator grille, and a reinforced oil sump guard. These features help equip the bike for demanding off-road tracks. Additionally, the DesertX Discovery offers heated grips and a larger fairing screen for increased comfort in low temperatures. The standard center stand makes accessing luggage and maintenance easier. The 76-liter aluminum cases provide ample storage space for longer trips.
Ducati DesertX Discovery Performance
The motorcycle is equipped with the well-known 937 cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° engine, delivering 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Three riding modes for road use and two for off-road use offer flexibility. The chassis is based on a steel trellis frame with long suspension travel, making the DesertX Discovery suitable for both road and off-road rides.
Price of the new Ducati adventure bike
The DesertX Discovery will be available from July 2024, also in a 35 kW version for the A2 license class. Ducati offers a "4Ever Ducati" warranty, which is valid for four years with unlimited mileage.
