Das Parallel-Zweizylinder-Triebwerk mit 48 PS und 53 Newtonmeter Drehmoment arbeitet spritzig und kultiviert, das Handling ist erstaunlich stabil und die Bremse kann ebenfalls überzeugen. Elektronische Features sucht man zwar vergebens, aber die herrliche Cafe Racer-Optik bleibt so absolut authentisch. Der Preis ist auch in Europa so niedrig angesetzt, dass Royal Enfield nicht mehr länger ein schrulliger Exot gelten sollte.
