Celkově jde o ještě svižnější naháč, který byl jednoznačně postaven pro radost z jízdy na motocyklu.

Málokterý motocykl v takzvané základní třídě je tak zábavný jako Yamaha MT-07. Dokonce i verze se sníženým výkonem na 48 koní dokáže díky poměrně velkému zdvihovému objemu držet krok s plnohodnotnou verzí déle, než byste čekali. Dobře si vedou i zbývající komponenty, brzdy i odpružení nechtějí nikoho děsit přílišnou tvrdostí, ale ani u sportovněji založených jezdců se hned tak nedostanou na hranici svých možností.
