Yamaha MT-09 SP je zdokonalením již tak velmi dobrého naháče střední třídy. Díky lepším komponentům odpružení od společností Öhlins a Kayaba, hezčímu laku a oprávněně vyšší ceně je verze SP jednoznačně nejsportovnější volbou v rámci řady Yamaha MT-09. Brutální síla motoru neumožňuje na MT-09 SP pohodlnou jízdu, ale to u "speciálu" není nutné - zábava je jednoznačně v popředí! Yamaha MT-09 EVO s odpružením Wilbers je nyní k dispozici jako zajímavá alternativa, protože nemá žádný "válečný nátěr" a je velmi nenápadná. Ale bohužel jen pro Švýcarsko...
