Výhoda: každodenní život a dlouhé výlety by na současném Dukovi neměly být problémem.

Už předchůdce 790 Duke dokázal, že KTM umí postavit silniční naháč střední třídy. Nová 890 nese pochodeň s naditou hrudí a opět dostojí své přezdívce skalpel. Živě tahá za poloměry a vyzařuje určitou nervozitu, kterou lze interpretovat jako divoký charakter. Výbava je téměř kompletní - ale jen téměř. Proč si musíte připlácet za quickshifter, když byl u předchůdce standardem? O to víc je nepříjemné, že řazení nahoru a dolů bez spojky funguje hladce jako po másle a že by se bez něj člověk nechtěl obejít.
