Kdybyste udělali srovnávací test s 50 různými jezdci (od nováčků po profesionály), BMW by mělo nejlepší průměr ze všech motocyklů o objemu 1000 ccm. Díky elektronickému podvozku, ale i jízdním pomůckám jsou profesionálové na silnici rychlí a začátečníci bezpeční. Špičkové doporučení pro velmi širokou cílovou skupinu. Velmi rychlí hobby jezdci nebudou se standardním odpružením stoprocentně spokojeni. Pokud nechcete upravovat podvozek, měli byste raději sáhnout po R1M, Panigale S nebo RSV RF. Pokud přesto chcete přestavovat, je S 1000 RR nejsilnějším a nejuniverzálnějším základem. Překvapivě silný stroj jezdí velmi dobře i na polních cestách.
