KTM 1190 Adventure 2016 vs. KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021

In terms of strengths, the KTM 1190 Adventure 2016 combines sport with comfort, has a smooth gearbox, a powerful and controllable engine, an excellent seating position, a handy chassis, sophisticated electronics, and lean angle ABS. On the other hand, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021 has a robust overall impression, high-quality and practical chassis, a great seat for endurance, sporty and high-quality components, a powerful but easy-to-control engine, and practical riding aids.

In terms of weaknesses, the KTM 1190 Adventure 2016 has a slight engine jerk below 3000 revs and does not look as independent as its predecessor. It also does not glide smoothly. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021, on the other hand, lacks individual features in the basic equipment and has fiddly controls.

Overall, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021 offers some improvements over the KTM 1190 Adventure 2016 in terms of engine power, torque, advanced rider assistance systems, and slightly larger tire diameters.
