Ducati Monster Senna Special Edition 2024

Ducati pays homage to Ayrton Senna with a limited collector's edition of the Monster, celebrating the remarkable career of the Brazilian racing legend. The number of bikes produced is a tribute to the icon: 341. The 3 represents the number of world championship titles Senna secured in Formula 1, while 41 signifies the Grands Prix where Ayrton stood victorious on the podium.

The Senna Special Edition builds on the Monster SP and packs additional components on top to create an even more refined Monster. The aesthetics of the Monster Senna are embellished not only by the special color scheme, but also by the yellow/green/blue markings on the black rims, which were specially made for this model, as well as the yellow color on the brake calipers and on the Termignoni carbon silencers. Other characteristic elements of this model are the special seat, the front fairing and the unique display animation that starts when the ignition is switched on.

The decision to choose the Monster as the model for this limited edition is also influenced by Ayrton's history. He was one of the first owners of the Monster 900. He rode this original model through Monte Carlo and appeared at the gala evening of the 1993 Monaco F1 Grand Prix. Ayrton appreciated the purist concept of the Monster: a sporty engine for road use, a superbike-derived chassis, wide handlebars and no fairing.

It should not be forgotten that this is not the first special series to bear the name of the Formula 1 legend. Shortly before his death, he was still planning the 916 Senna with Ducati, which was only presented after his tragic accident. This was followed in 2014 by the 1199 Panigale Senna, which was reserved for the Brazilian market.
