BMW R 1200 GS Adventure 2015

BMW R 1200 GS Adventure 2015

As the most successful supplier of large-volume touring enduros, BMW has for years been highly successful in establishing the large R 1200 GS Adventure as the ultimate long-distance touring motorbike. Building on the driving dynamics and high off-road and touring competence of the conventional R 1200 GS, the Adventure represents the maximum solution for off-road touring riders. With its bulky fairing and 30-litre tank, the 125 hp engine has more to haul, but a high degree of agility is still maintained. Nothing is spared in terms of equipment, the big Adventure offers the full programme: ABS, ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and two riding modes "Rain" and "Road" are standard.

Triumph Tiger Explorer XRT 2016

The segment of touring enduros has become much softer in terms of engines - in addition to the typical two-cylinder engines, there are also four-cylinder engines in R- and V-shape and Triumph now has to share the unique selling point of the in-line three-cylinder engine with two other manufacturers (MV Agusta Turismo Veloce and Yamaha Tracer 900). On the Tiger Explorer XRt, the large three-cylinder engine with 1215 cubic capacity is very powerful, yet consistently refined. The sound already conveys that something different is coming along and with 140 hp, the big Tiger is by no means underpowered. And thanks to the good responsiveness, very tight bends are no problem despite the impressive weight. In terms of comfort, the excellently equipped XRt version cannot be reproached; even an electrically height-adjustable windshield is on board.
